Kringle was rescued just after Christmas. He was abandoned when his owners moved away and left him outside to fend for himself. He did his best hunting mice and such, but squirrels proved to be a bit trickier---they tend to bite back when you pounce on them and Kringle was left with a bloody forehead and a few scratches--one of which got infected and required some antibiotics. Fortunately he is now healing up nicely in foster care and we hope to find him a loving home that will appreciate his outgoing and friendly nature. He is a big furry boy (nearly 13 lbs!) who loves attention and is fairly mellow. We are brushing him daily since he is shedding his old weathered coat at the moment and growing a nice healthy new one. Currently he is in foster care with a couple of kittens, which he begrudgingly tolerates---we think the kittens might be too pesky and high-energy for him. He might be better off in a quieter home or even in an only-cat household. If you would like to meet him come down to the Well Pet Clinic on Saturdays at our adoption days from 11 AM to 3 PM.
