Pixie was being given away on the side of the road with her liter of puppies. One of our volunteers stopped to see if they could help the puppies and the owner would not give the puppies to a reputable humane group, but would give the mother away. So we took her in and she was found to be heartworm positive. She has been treated and has made a full recovery :) She is looking for a loving and caring home of her own. Please come meet her at our adoption day on Saturday.
