Emmett was surrendered by his owner due to the inability to financially and environmentally support his needs. He lived with a young mother, her son and another female Great Dane in a townhouse with a small yard. A cat tree suggested a cat lived there too, but was not seen. Emmett has suffered from a bad ear crop, intestional parasites, skin parasites and ehrlichia. He is doing well on all his medication and is on the mend. He's been neutered.
He was terrified of going outside in his past home. He spent a lot of time in his crate. It took four of us to load him in the truck. He was very skittish and hesitant with anything new. NOW.... he's quite a happy fellow who initiates play with the other dogs in the foster home. He walks pretty well on a leash, and gets in the truck with no major issue. He takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, but trusts his foster mom and other dogs around him. He's doing very well, and shows a promising future of being a loving and dedicated companion.
He needs a home that is financially stable and patient enough to build his confidence.
