Name he came with: “Little G” What he’s called: “G” or “Squirt” Age: 5.5 months (as of 9/8) What he likes: His bed! His toys! His food! Your lap! What he dislikes: Quick movements & towering over him. Tall Grass. What he’s learned: “Sit,” “Bed,” “Go Pee” and going up & down stairs What he’s learning: “Go Pee,” “Stay,” “Get it (fetch),” “Come” Cohabitates with: 35lb Dog, Mini Pig, Cat, 2 teen boys, man, woman Rescue Reason: Little G and his brothers were given up due to a divorce. Tips: Get all the way down on the floor to play with him. Use a well-fitting harness when walking – and he can trot right along on hour-long hikes! Use a leash when going up/down new stairs. Tiny pieces of hot dog work well for training rewards. Get him a nice round bed, as he really loves his own space and will hoard his toys in it. If he won’t come to you, firmly tell him to “Stay!!” and then go to him. He needs at least 10 minutes to potty outside, as he loses focus… be patient. Keep your floor clean, as he’s at the mouthy stage of puppyhood and will “taste” anything he finds. He adores socks… the smellier, the better! G is a fun little guy who will steal your heart, but do not spoil him! Keep him well socialized and obedient, and he’ll give you 15 to 20 years of love.
