Aster and another Dachshund were found as strays and turned into our local animal shelter.  The owners came in a claimed the male Dachshund (who was said to be her father) but left Aster behind.  Of course she was super stressed and did not do well at the shelter.  Once in her foster home she was a whole different dog - running and playing with the other dogs.  The only issue she has at the moment, that we are working on correcting, is that she does not like the other dogs coming up to her kennel.  And she is getting better with that already :)
