Skittles was turned in by her owners because they were moving. She was diagnosed with demodectic mange in October 2012 but her owners never sought out treatment for her. We have since treated her for mange and she has had 1 negative skin scraping. She will need one more negative skin scraping to be able to call her treatment complete. UPDATE: Skittles is a loveable 1 year old Chihuahua. She adores people, does exceptionally well with children of all ages, and is great with other dogs. Skittles is very playful and likes to rough house; she has lots of energy to burn off. She loves walks and car rides, so much that she will even “cry” if you don’t take her. It is recommended that a harness is used when she is out and about. She is crate trained and will scratch at the back door when she wants outside, even if it’s to just bask in the sun on the deck. Since she is so young still, she will need someone who can teach her basic training and manners. Currently, Skittles gets ¼ Cup or less of wet food with her medication only and dry food twice a day. She eats Iams mini-chunks, but her favorite is Bil-Jac. Skittles is ready to find her furever home!
