Came to us with SEVERE Demodectic Mange. (as pictured) This is the kind of mange that is not contagious, but quickly promotes hair loss and skin irritations. Genetic predisposition triggered by stress. Will recover completely, but will need sensitive adopters.
A nice, cuddly girl who just wants to get better and be loved.
Poor Daisy suffered an injury while in her foster home. She sustained a hairline fracture in her pelvis while playing ball on a deck which she fell off of. She is on cage rest now, and will need to be for another three weeks. She should make a full recovery though. She will not be ready for her new home just yet, but we will take applications for her.
Her mange is improving dramatically, and her coat is growing back well. It is much better looking now, as you can see in her updated picture.
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR DAISY IF YOU ARE NOT EXPERIENCED WITH DACHSHUNDS!!!! They are a sensitive breed so if you haven't read about them, or have not had them in the past/present, don't apply!
LOCAL Adopter ONLY
