Forest has a sad story as an old man. He was placed on craigs list 3 times in 3 days. The first person that got him saw that he was really matted and they shaved all of his hair off. Then they did not want him so placed an ad on craigs list. Someone else got him and he would not eat and was going downhill so they did not want him anymore and placed him on craigs list again. When the next person got him he was near death, flat out, not eating and had bloody mucousy diarrhea. That person brought him to ARF to see if we could help him. Without any history on him it was hard to help him but we figured out he must have some kind of neurological issues going on and he was most likley suffering from pancreatitis. We started him on some medicines and his appetite came back, he was able to walk and seemed to be more alert and able to focus. He is not 100%, by any means, but he is as good as he is going to get. He has some issues getting his feet under him sometimes but once he does, he is off!! He has old man googly eyes but he can still see fairly well. His hearing is also going but he has a little left. Standard old man issues but I think this little guy has had a rough life. If you want to give this sweet old man a chance at happiness for the remainder of his years please come meet him :)
